Presentation Guidelines
Announcement: the instructions for video recording have been updated to indicate that inclusion of the presenter’s face talking through the presentation in the video is OPTIONAL.

Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, INTERSPEECH 2020 will be a fully virtual conference, which calls for some new organizational arrangements.  We are happy to report that this year we have received the largest number of submissions in INTERSPEECH history and accepted 1021 papers. In order to accommodate the different time zones around the globe, we hope to constrain the duration of the conference each day to within 6 hours.  We also wish to offer the same presentation style for oral papers, poster papers and Show&Tell papers, since we are no longer limited by physical space.  For each paper presentation, we request the following:
1.  A “highlight” video with voiceover for a title page (with paper title, authors’ names and mention of INTERSPEECH 2020) and then an overview slide, to be submitted by 15 September 2020. (Specifications: <1.5minutes, mp4 format, <50MB, aspect ratio 16:9 preferred, minimum height 480 pixels, showing the presenter’s face in a small window, filename format being “PaperID_highlight_FirstAuthorName_papertitle.mp4”).

2.  A 15-minute video to be submitted by 2 October, 2020 (mp4 format, <100MB, aspect ratio 16:9 preferred, minimum height 480 pixels, showing the presenter’s face in a small window, filename format being “PaperID_paper_FirstAuthorName_papertitle.mp4”).

3. Please upload the videos before the due dates at http://interspeech-upload.baai.ac.cn/. Participants who can use mainland China’s network can upload at https://interspeech-upload-cn.baai.ac.cn/ to prevent congestion. The account number and initial password will be sent to authors via a separate email.  Please modify the password immediately after uploading to ensure security.  Authors with multiple accepted papers are reminded to upload separately using each paper’s account.  Should you have questions about the videos and uploading, please contact Mr. Guanjun Li at guanjun.li@nlpr.ia.ac.cn
We recommend for your kind consideration to record your video presentations using Zoom, which is widely available. Instructions for recording of content displayed on your computer screen and voice recorded using the computer’s microphone can be found at:  https://ieeetv.ieee.org/mobile/video/recording-your-presentation-with-zoomAuthors can decide whether or not they would like to include the recording of their faces as they talk through the video presentations of their paper. If it is decided that the authors prefer to recording themselves speaking, then we recommend that the facial recording appears in small window in the right corner upper corner as mentioned above.

Please note that compliance with the video specifications above will be checked at the time of submission.  Non-compliant videos will not be accepted.  If a paper’s videos are not received by the deadline, it will be considered as “no-show” according to ISCA’s NO-SHOW POLICY.

Kindly note that 15-minute video will be made available at the INTERSPEECH2020 website for all visitors one week before the conference starts and will remain there until one week after the conference ends.  The “Q&A Zone” for each conference session will also be available at the same time.  Each live conference session will only display the highlight video, followed by the Q&A session moderated by the Session Chairs.

Thank you very much for your kind cooperation.  Let us work together to make the virtual INTERSPEECH2020 a great success!
